Lakeside Women's Club

The Lakeside Women's Club provides a $300 scholarship for a graduating Lakeside high school student attending college. Also, donates funds to the LCA, Lakeside Library, Lion's Club, The North Bend Graduation Party, Senior Center and the Lakeside Fireworks Fund.

WHO ARE THE LAKESIDE LIONS?

We are a group of your neighbors dedicated to helping those in need and to making our neighborhoods and the world a better place to live.
Our members represent men and women of varied occupations, interests, skills and ages. This diversity gives the club a wealth of experience and knowledge to develope community programs
Our primary goal is community service, but member interaction and social activities ADD to the pleasures we derive from our Lion group.

Lakeside Lions Building provides a meeting place for all clubs, organizations & events.
• Support the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation.
• Offer free Health Screening - Mobile Screening Unit (MSU).
• Offer Flu & pneumonia vaccinations Diabetes awareness.
• Collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids for recycling.
• Offer student scholarships
• Sponsor local Little League Team.
• Conduct U.S. Highway 101 cleanup.
• Conduct several annual fundraisers: Fireworks Sales, Pancake Breakfasts, Dinner & Entertainment Nights, Christmas Tree Sales, Support the local fireworks with cotton candy & popcorn sales, Cook & serve a free Thanksgiving Dinner for the community, Christmas Program, give toys & pictures with Santa to all children at Santa's Social, and assist other charities as needed.

Salmon Trout Enhancement Program

An organization under the auspices of the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, which provides labor and materials in order to promote, propagate and improve the sports fisheries of the Tenmile Watershed Basin. The organization promotes education and awareness of local fisheries and habitat in order to instill both young and old with the enjoyment of catching fish. An organization made up of volunteers who offer their time and labor to implement the trapping, spawning and raising of fish stock to be released in the Tenmile Watershed Basin area of Lakeside.

FREE Kid's Fish Day:

June 7th @ TUGMAN PARK
A fishing clinic for the kids with numerous stations. They will pick up a pass and a bag of fishing accessories, like trout bait at Registration. Some of the stations include, Fish Identification, Knot tying, casting, fishing courtesy. they will then go to the net pen at the dock and fish from the pen. If they catch their first fish they will get a certificate indicating that they caught their first fish. Then we clean the fish and bag it on ice for them to take home.
Children 12 and under are eligible.
Older mental disable people are also welcomed.

Lakeside Community Association

The Lakeside Community Association is a non-profit organization. The purpose of the LCA is to address problems and concerns of the community to improve the quality of living in Lakeside. Everyone living, working or owning property in Lakeside is a member. There is no membership fee. Fundraising is done through donations and their annual Cleanup Lakeside Weekend in May. The LCA manages the Lakeside's Citizen's Patrol. A successful operation backed with the Coos County Sheriff's support of equipment and training. The LCA/LCP and Coos County Sheriff are now helping adjacent local communities set up their own local patrols.

Meetings:

7pm, the 1st Thurday of each month, at the Lakeside Lion's Club Hall and include various speakers on topics of interest to the LCA goals. Anyone can attend.
